GrooveWalrus 0.316 (and to 0.319 via updater) has been released. When it's loaded, you'll get a prompt to add a firewall exception, this should be okay. A new feature/fix is that you can only run one copy of GrooveWalrus at a time now. So, for example, the Song Sender (right-click on the playlist), now actually works better when receiving a song. The 'firewall thing' lets GrooveWalrus 1 talk to GrooveWalrus 2, to add any new files to the playlist you may want. More details later.

Changes:
- Separated out the Last.fm and My Last.fm tabs into their own modules.
- Modified the Search Window to use the new add/add all to playlist functions.
- Fixed prefetch.py so pre-fetching works again.
- Playlist ratings are now shown when you load a playlist for all songs that have ratings.
- Playlist ratings are now shown when you add new songs to the playlist (plug-ins, not yet).
- Right-click playlist menu allows you to rate the selected song.

So, costs ($$$) are exceeding revenues ($0), so it's time for a donation drive. Donate a certain (mystery) amount and you can put an icon on the donor grid I'm going to put up. Icon will be 24px by 24px, and you can link to your Facespace page or Spacebook profile or whatever awesome internets thing you're into. I'll put the grid under the Download area. Donations will go towards paying exciting (boring) hosting costs.

It's pretty basic, but it lets you control GrooveWalrus over the web. Like, say, you have an iPhone and you want to use it as a remote control for GrooveWalrus on your computer, well punch in the IP address in your iPhone's browser and remote control away till your fingers bleed. If we don't reach a certain (mystery) amount of donations in 2 weeks, I'll release it then. Hooray!

Looks like there might be a problem for a few people who have updated to 0.315. If you can't load GrooveWalrus after updating, download http://turnip-town.googlecode.com/files/gw_0315_fix.zip and unzip and overwrite the gw.exe in your GrooveWalrus directory. Or, download the installer for 0.314, and update again (I put a new 0.315 update on the server).

Okay, so when the combined totals of the GrooveWalrus Twitter, GrooveWalrus Facebook, and GrooveWalrus Last.fm groups makes it to 723 (g=7, w=23), I will quite possibly get some t-shirts printed up and make contest winners out of randomly selected members of the aforementioned 723. Right now we're at 167 combined, so there's still time to get in on the sweet, sweet, action.

Okay, version 0.314 is now available for download. I've added a rating column on the playlist that displays if the song (that's playing) has been rated or not. I'm not sure if I like this or not, I'm open to suggestions. Added an Advanced Options screen (Ctrl-.), not really recommend to mess with the stuff there, but...

If you have slow downloads (song quits playing before download completes):
buffer-size-bytes | 500000
that'll make the song start playing after it has 500000 bytes, the default is around 300000, I wouldn't set it any less than 120000.

Looks like 2 bad updates slipped through while I was testing 0.313. If your update from 0.312 to 0.313 failed you can grab http://turnip-town.googlecode.com/files/gw_0313_update.zip and unzip that in your GrooveWalrus directory (overwriting the existing files).

Using the in-program updater will not work if you are updating from 0.309 (or earlier) to 0.310 or later (I think). You'll need to grab the setup.exe or gw.zip and install the whole thing.
